W.E.E. School began in 1968 as a
kindergarten and is now a preschool
for ages 2, 3 and 4. First Baptist
Church supports W.E.E. School in
providing space, utilities, custodial care
and assistance from the financial secretary.
The remainder of funding is from
registration and tuition.

W.E.E. School is an outreach ministry of First Baptist Church. The school serves children ages 2, 3, and 4 in a half-day program from 9 a.m. until noon. W.E.E. SCHOOL GOAL The goal of W.E.E. School is to provide a safe and loving environment in which children can begin preparation for kindergarten and learn about    God's love. W.E.E. W.E.E. SCHOOL CURRICULUM Each day children spend at least one hour or more in free play in the classroom, playroom or playground. This gives the children time to socialize and interact with each other. Thirty minutes each week is spent in music where the children do a variety of activities involving singing, rhythm instruments, Bible songs, action movement and fingerplays. Each month the classes have a theme around which art activities, stories, and other learning experiences are planned. Bible stories and thoughts are an important part of each day. The children learn that God made our world and cares for us. Our four year old program includes "Lets Begin With THE LETTERPEOPLE" which is an alpha program designed especialy for preschoolers. The content of the program reaches across all subject areas including the alphabet, science, health and safety, art, numbers, and music. Computer Pals are also a part of the 4 year-old curriculum. Twice a month the Children attend computer classes which teach the proper beginning computer skills in a fun way. Cost for Computer Pals is included in the tuition fee. A snack is provided each day.

SPECIAL EVENTS: The three and four year olds present a Christmas program each year. A graduation for the four year olds is held each spring.

NOTE: W.E.E. School follows the Transylvania County public school schedule as closely as possible and uses August 31st  as the cut-off date to determine appropriate class.

TUITION RATES - Tuition is based on an annual fee and is divided into ten monthly payments. Rates for the 2009-20010 school year are as follows.

Two Year Olds Mon./Wed. or Tue./Thurs. $90.00

Three Year Olds Tues./Thurs. $90.00 Mon./Wed./Fri. $110.00

Four Year Olds Tue/Thurs $95.00 Mon./Wed./Fri. $115.00

There is a $50.00 registration fee for all classes.

An early service drop-off class is also available
beginning at 7:45 a.m. for a charge of $2.00 per day.
