Day of Prayer & Fasting - Sunday, August 29

Learn more about the practice of fasting.

Kick-Off Event - Saturday, September 11

The Campaign will begin at 6:00 pm in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall with a Kick-Off video hosted by Pastor Rick Warren, author of The Purpose-Driven Life, the book that forms the basis for the Campaign. During this inspirational time, Warren will share his life message and set the stage for the Campaign events to come.

An evening meal will be provided by the ladies of the Wesleyan Church. Everyone who attends will receive a copy of The Purpose-Driven Life book, which is divided into 40 daily readings.

Ministry & Missions Fair - Wednesday, October 13

The Ministry & Missions Fair will showcase all our ministries, outreaches, and missions to give people an opportunity to get involved in a church ministry or outreach and welcome new members to serve. Along with food and entertainment, booths will be open for people to ask questions and sign up to participate.

We need you to help with “FBC’S Got Talent.” If you play an instrument, sing or have a skit you want to share, call Irma.

Celebration Sunday - Sunday, October 24

The Campaign culminates with a church-wide party where we will rejoice together in all God has done in our midst during the Campaign.

The Celebration will feature music by SISTERS.

The SISTERS began their music ministry before they were out of elementary school. In 1974, when Kim was 9 and Heather was 8, the two daughters and their mother, Brenda, began singing as The Ruppes. Valerie was also a part of the ministry at the young age of 4. The group recorded their fist album, “The Way, The Truth, The Life” in 1975 and went on to experience overwhelming success. Their most notable song during their years as The Ruppes was the stunningly beautiful, “Under His Wings.” They had many other top songs including their first number one, “Angels In The Room” from the album, “Seasons.” Their 2001 album release “Born to Serve” yielded a Grammy nomination.
